This piece is part of a series inspired in the Amazon river called "Paranaguasú", which is how various peoples of this region had named the river in precolonial times. Paranaguasú is a name of the Tupi-Guarani linguistic family and it means "the great river". This name is accurate since this body of water is the largest river in the planet. The mighty river springs in the peruvian Andes and crosses South America to meet the Atlantic Ocean. Along its banks and those of its thousands of tributaries live more than four hundred nations who have safeguarded the largest rainforest in the world for thousands of years. In many of their mythologies, the river is a giant Anaconda.
