Serenità (pentaptych)

Serenità is a five-panel work (pentaptych), conceived, composed, and painted specifically for the Chianciano Art Biennale 2026.

Four women bathe within a landscape of earth, trees, forest, and a tranquil lake. Immersed in the warmth of a sunlit afternoon, they breathe in the stillness of the moment, quietly awaiting the gentle descent of evening. Nature and the human figure merge into a shared space of contemplation, where time seems to slow and silence acquires a tangible presence.

The central challenge in creating this work was to achieve a subtle equilibrium: between expressionism and figuration, realism and abstraction, complexity and tranquillity. Every compositional decision was guided by the pursuit of harmony, allowing form, colour, and gesture to resonate with one another. Rather than depicting serenity alone, Serinitá seeks to embody it—inviting the viewer into a contemplative space where balance, stillness, and quiet beauty prevail.
