"Specimen of Survival I" is about staying alive and changing through difficult moments. I used real emergency survival blankets and turned them into part of the body. These blankets are made to protect, but they can also look heavy, fragile, or uncomfortable. In this work, they become a second skin, showing how people protect themselves when they go through fear, pain, or uncertainty. The floating figure looks caught between being safe and being trapped, reminding us that survival is not always simple. Sometimes it means adapting, carrying what happened to you, and becoming something new.
