Spina Complexity of My Mind

This artwork uses fiber-reactive dyes and a dye remover through various printmaking techniques, including katazome paper stencils, hand-painting, and screen printing, on raw silk. Living with this congenital birth defect, I explore creating surrealistic imagery to communicate my complex relationship with my normal. I like to arrange imagery illogically and bizarrely, reflecting feelings about my body deemed "not normal."
