The word spirit means many different things. Several definitions include: "a supernatural being or essence", "a vital or animating principle held to give life to physical organisms", "the force within a person that is believed to give a person energy, vitality, and power". Spirit to me also refers to the beings that are here to remind us of who we really are. To help offer us courage, guidance, support. To remind us that we are not alone. When think of the word "spirited", think of a state of feeling alive, powerful, loving, joyful, and open hearted. This painting for me is a reminder of my own strength and spiritedness. It is also a reminder that have unseen forces that are with me and helping me as walk my own path.
