The Roof’s Got a Hole in It

Earth has become surreal. Craving a Daliesque “Vestiges” artistic response. Our home is no longer behaving like the earth that even Middle East desert creatures once knew; sand unable to soak up increasing torrential rains, floods telling us we must change our ways. Layers of cold wax and oil pigment allow me to create texture by manipulating the surface during different stages of dryness. I am also able to carve into the wax revealing underlying colors beneath the surface. This is a framed cold wax and oil painting on cradled wood.
