This design is part of a complete tarot deck. Much of the information that was included in the designs of this deck came from studying many previous decks. The Golden Dawn "T" documents published by Regardie were also used as reference materials. I was going for an esthetic that included traditional color associations along with as much symbolic and iconographic information that I could possibly cram in a design. I also used images from art history and my own local experience as design elements. This is a product of study in the field of design, art history, and the occult. It is an updated example of a Golden Dawn tarot deck that attempts a nod at the past while updating the imagery and aesthetic with contemporary tools and ideas. I am submitting this design on behalf of my mother who insisted that it be included because she liked this particular card.
