The piece is a playful take on Rodin's "Le Penseur", but with a serious message around the erosion of our capacity to think as a result of the use of, and abuse by, social media platforms. The medium captures the permanence of the erosion of prior intellectual rigour. This is reflected in the hollow and empty resultant state of the now "Thoughtless" individual. The phone is the delivery mechanism, but the drug is the App.
