This work reflects the silent testimonies of North Korean women who crossed the border into China seeking food and survival during famine, only to become victims of trafficking, violence, and disappearance. The burned linen carries traces of erased identities and unspoken suffering, while the fragmented marks suggest voices buried beneath history and silence. Through this piece, I remember those whose pain was never acknowledged and whose stories remain unburied along the borderlands between North Korea and China.
