Viennese Pallawatsch

This picture looks as though a brain has had three espressos too many and decided to be an architect, a clown and a philosopher all at once: tiny figures are scurrying about everywhere, either celebrating a brilliant idea or having just forgotten what it was, whilst garish lines meander criss-crossing like completely frantic trains of thought, as if they were playing hide-and-seek and nobody knew the rules. Amidst colourful houses, dancing shapes and symbols that pretend to be incredibly important (a little hint: they aren’t), a motley jumble emerges, where circles dance the samba, spirals spin dizzyingly and a few creatures simply grin for no reason at all. You’re constantly discovering new mini-scenes: here someone is waving, there a grinning face is presumably discussing the meaning of life, and right in the middle, one idea after another bursts forth like confetti, with no regard for order or logic.
