Emotions are the highest form of expression of our soul. The palette of emotions can be compared to volcanic pulsations – from complete peace during contemplation to unbridled anger during a powerful eruption. The volcano is a metaphorical image of the human state of mind and symbolically contains the entire palette of emotions of human behavior. Our emotions are our human essence.
The painting was painted after a visit to the Etna volcano – the hot heart of Sicily.
