This work reflects on the gradual loss of wonder across the course of a lifetime. As children, we experience the world with curiosity, imagination, and an openness to the present moment. As we grow older, our attention is increasingly absorbed by constructed realities, distractions, and the demands we place upon ourselves.

The child at the center of the composition represents a state of presence and emotional freedom. The surrounding figures, though physically close, remain isolated within their own worlds, while the elderly figure in the distance serves as a reminder of time's passage and the inevitability of mortality.

Rather than condemning technology, the work invites reflection on attention, connection, and the choices that shape our experience of being alive. It asks what remains unseen when wonder is forgotten, and what we leave unlived while time continues to move forward.
