Adanma Nwankwo (b. 2001) is an interdisciplinary Nigerian artist based in London. Her practice explores the intersection between personal and collective histories, delving into themes of childhood, identity, heritage, migration, memory, and documentation. Through her work, she constructs personal archives that retell her ongoing investigation into Nigerian heritage and its pre-colonial histories, drawing connections between culture and materiality, community and self.
Working across installation, sculpture, drawing, photography, printmaking, textiles, performance, and film, Nwankwo’s work has been exhibited in the UK, Canada, and Nigeria.
