ndrea Ehret (born 1978 in Slovakia) is an award-winning contemporary abstract expressive painter, visual performer, and art therapist. Currently living and working in Prague, Czech Republic, she has established a prominent international presence with her ethereal, heavily layered dreamscapes that bridge physical form with spiritual introspection.
Ehret earned a Master of Arts degree in Fine Arts from Prešov University (Prešovská univerzita) in Slovakia. She pursued further advanced training at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic.
Ehret's institutional and gallery showcases span Europe and North America. Noteworthy exhibitions include solo shows at the World Trade Center Art Gallery in The Hague, Slovak Embassy Art Gallery ,Washington DC, USA , Noonpowell FineArt Gallery, London, UK, Yudian Art Gallery, China, BAma Busan Art Fair, South Korea, San Francisco, USA, The Slovak Embassy in the Netherlands, Galerie Spejchar, Kafka House, Prague, Anděl in Olomouc, and Hostivice Castle. Heavily anchored by Eastern philosophy, meditation, and "circles" representing the cycles of life, her style uses somatic gesture and body calligraphy to capture human vulnerability and transience.
