Brazil, 1963
Christine Drummond is a Franco-Brazilian painter born and raised in Rio de Janeiro. Working primarily in oil with a palette knife, she creates vibrant, textured paintings inspired by the colour, rhythm and joy of Brazilian life — from Carnival and beaches to favelas. Her work has been exhibited internationally, and in 2009 she was selected for the Chianciano Biennale and later exhibited at Gagliardi Gallery, London.
