Christos Kraniotis
Born in Mesolonghi, Greece, 1983 – Lives in Thessaloniki, Greece
Christos Kraniotis holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Management (HOU) and has studied Photography (SSP) and Social Theology (AUTH). Since 2010, he is the founder of the Kristiboni School of Arts Thessaloniki (KSAT).
In 2018, he was selected by the Athens School of Fine Arts to participate in the photography residency and workshop “Postcards from Home”, in collaboration with Photometria Photo Festival 2018.
In 2022, he self-published the photobook “Without Foundation”, which was presented at:
• Athens Artbook Fair 2023
• Off Bratislava Festival 2023
• Sikinos Island Zine Exhibition 2024
• In September–October 2024, he was selected by the 4th Verona International Photography Festival to present part of this work at Lazaretto, curated by Sara Munari and Lisangela Perigozzo.
• In September 2023, he was selected and awarded by the Capri Foundation for the Capri Photography Festival 2023, titled “Questa è la mia terra”. The festival was followed by a publication of the participants, both edited by Dennis Curti.
He has held four solo exhibitions, and his work has been included in numerous group exhibitions across Greece, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, and Melbourne, among others.
His image “18 Plus” was selected for the publication “We All Felt the Sun”, edited by Jenna Banks and Amanda McHardy, Stupid Idiot Press, Washington D.C., 2024.
