Living and working in Italy but known only pseudonymously, THOMA SEHNSUCHT insists on remaining one step behind the artwork. His practice is grounded in the ferm belief that art conversations should begin with what is inside the frame, rather than what surrounds it.
His artworks develop organic, ambiguous forms that take shape between the biological and the imaginary; their persistent subject the threshold between life and death, the moment when form has not yet decided what it will become.
