Elisa Lavazza is an Italian contemporary artist based in Milan, whose work explores the delicate tension between memory, landscape, and abstraction. Her artistic language blends fluid gestural movements with layered textures, creating compositions that evoke both emotional atmospheres and architectural balance. Elisa’s practice bridges fine art and design, making her pieces particularly resonant within interior spaces, hospitality environments, and curated contemporary collections. Her artistic trajectory began in the world of illustration and visual design, where she developed a refined command of color, composition, and narrative. She collaborated with major Italian and international publishers—including Feltrinelli, Mondadori, and Condé Nast—and contributed to high- profile advertising campaigns and film productions for brands such as Barilla and Ferrero. This formative experience sharpened her visual discipline and continues to inform the clarity, precision, and conceptual structure evident in her current work. Rooted in a deep sensibility for materiality, Elisa works across mixed media, combining acrylics, handmade pigments, resin, and natural elements to build depth, rhythm, and movement. Many of her pieces are conceived as part of visual “sequences,” artworks that stand compellingly on their own but reveal a richer narrative when experienced together. Over the years, her pieces have been appreciated by private collectors, interior designers, and creatives who value the harmony her art brings to modern and minimalist spaces. Elisa’s recent work marks a deliberate shift toward Abstract, Conceptual, and Optical Art—a natural evolution from her earlier career in figurative illustration. In the Optical series, she investigates the interplay of light, geometry, and spatial perception, using resin, acrylic, and Plexiglass to create layered environments that visually shift as the viewer moves.
