Georgia, 1970
Gela Durujeli is a Georgian sculptor working primarily in stone. His works explore the philosophical relationship between past, present, and future: the cyclical recurrence of ideas and the enduring foundations of ancient thought within modern art and worldview. He has exhibited at the London Art Biennale, the Chianciano Art Biennale 2024 (where Update entered the permanent collection), the International Sculptor Symposium in Dresden, and in group and solo exhibitions across Tbilisi, Berlin, and London.
