Italy, 1971

Giovanna Berni, known professionally as Giovannella Berni, is an architect specializing in bioarchitecture. Born in Florence in 1971, she studied architecture at the University of Florence, where the landscape, garden, and urban planning departments boasted renowned masters. Bioarchitecture, in particular, was studied at INBAR. She studied art for 12 years using the Ginette Martenot Method at the Atelier de Florence, from the ages of 8 to 20. She works as a bioarchitect, artist, and feng shui consultant. She has been working as an artist since 2003. Her artistic output to date includes a series of tempera and pencil works (Echi di Colore), exhibited in solo exhibitions in Florence and Portoferraio, and partly in London; a series of oil palette knives (Dialoghi Intorno al Fuoco), exhibited in solo exhibitions in Florence and Portoferraio; a series of photographic art with stones (Il Suono del Silenzio), presented at the Luxembourg Art Prize 2021; and various series of informal photographic art using recycled materials, especially plastic, and the use of color, many of which have been published and subsequently collected in five NFT photographic art collections on Opensea.io. She also produces installations, sculpture drawings, classical landscapes, and anatomies. She has won several regional awards with his oil palette knives. A Certificate of Merit for Artistic Career at the Luxembourg Art Prize 2021 and 2022. She has published 18 works in Art Now magazines, 3 in Art Tour International, and 9 photographs in the collection Shots to Tell (issue 5). She is featured in the catalog of the first European biennial tour and in the Artfusion and Eternity exhibitions and catalogs at the London gallery The Holy Art. She was a member of Atim Artist for a Green Planet (Hearth Day 2022). She was selected among the 60 Top Art Masters 2023 by Art Tour International. Artist for Peace with UNICEF in 2022 to help children in Ukraine. She defines herself as an independent artist, part of the indie art scene, due to her critical, conceptual, and niche work. She continues to pursue classical research.
