Jimmy Kennedy is a 39 year old Irish self thought artist living in Rome, Italy since 2007 where he met his Californian wife who he married in 2015. He has three children from the ages of 8 months to seven years old. He worked in the tourist industry in Rome before he sold my business in 2014. He personally gave tours around the great museums in Rome which inspired him to become an artist painting mostly with oil on canvas. After selling his tour business he was able to follow his dream and paint full time. He has had quite a few exhibitions around Rome including inside the Non Catholic Cemetery in Rome where notable artists and writers are buried including John Keats and Percy Shelly. He has also exhibited with the renowned sculpture, Peter Rockwell who was the son of the famous American Painter, Norman Rockwell. Jimmy was also shortlisted for the inaugural Sir William Orpen Self Portrait Prize in January 2025
