Maya Mecheva is born in Gabrovo (Bulgaria), 1976.
Graduated at the Fine Arts High School "Vl. Dimitrov - The Master" – painting at 1995.
Also graduated in Theology (Bachelor and Master's degree) at the Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski" - Plovdiv – 2006; 2011.
Member of Union Bulgarian Artists – UBA.
Since 1995 - Member of Society of Kardzhali Artists.
Maya Mecheva has four solo exhibitions and four collective exhibitions. She has participated in over 20 national and international exhibitions.
She is an award-winning artist and mentor, coordinator and participant in a number оf competitions, performances, international projects and exhibitions.
Her works are in private collections and galleries in Bulgaria, England, USA, Belgium, Germany, Norway, Netherlands, Turkey, Greece and others.
She works mainly with oil, acrylic, textures and digital art. Lives in Kardzhali (Bulgaria).
