I am a South African artist living in Germany. The sky is my primary subject, and I am especially fascinated with the skies of Europe. Changing cloud formations and colours. They evoke a special passion and energy within me. The submitted work for this exhibition is my interpretation of the sky at Ostia Antica, the vast archaeological site near Rome. It is about the effects of light and the powers of ancient Rome's historical ruins, melding together with the ever changing moods of nature.
