Paal Anand is a Culver City-based conceptual artist working with light, perception, and experimental processes. After two decades in Hollywood visual effects — with feature credits including Hellboy and Pirates of the Caribbean — he transitioned to a full-time fine art practice and works in the lineage of the California Light and Space movement. His recent work builds custom artist-technologies — holographic mesh projection, sensor-driven imaging, synchronized cross-throw lighting, and Piezography carbon-pigment printing — to investigate how images carry presence. He serves as Co-Chair of the Culver City Arts Foundation.
