Pernille Lonstrup is a Danish visual artist based in Amsterdam. She holds a BA from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and an MA in Artistic Research from the Royal Academy of Art (KABK).
Specializing in paper weaving, Lonstrup transforms newspapers and books into new linguistic forms. Her practice is deeply informed by her experience with dyslexia, challenging the notion of language as a stable construct. Through her work, she highlights the absurdity of "fixed" communication and reminds audiences that access to language is not universal.
Lonstrup has exhibited internationally, including at De Appel, Charlottenborg Kunsthal, and the Van Eesteren Museum. A nominee for the Sybren Hellinga Kunstprijs, she is currently featured in the 2026 IAPMA Paper Biennale in Denmark.
