CompMonks is a French-born, Zürich-based new-media architect whose work bridges visual arts, cognitive science, and digital technologies. Trained across science and the humanities, he developed a self-taught practice in digital arts centered on natural communication, interaction, and generative aesthetics. His installations explore human visual memory and the interplay of artificial and natural intelligence, weaving technological systems with architectural elements, reframing mythological narratives. He creates environments that spatially and visually express the intractable beauty of the human mind conversing with the world through computers. CompMonks graduated in architecture from France in 2007, later teaching computational design there and Switzerland. Awarded a fully funded PhD fellowship at ETH Zürich, he now leads advanced research on interactive and generative design with brain-computer interfaces. His work has been exhibited at major European institutions, including Centre Pompidou, ZKM, and Ars Electronica, and is held in the permanent collections of ZKM and the Copernicus Science Museum.
