Painting and drawing have been part of Raluca Fadur’s life since childhood, evolving from an early hobby into a sustained personal practice. Her work moves fluidly between realistic portraiture and abstract or cubist compositions, with each approach emerging in response to her emotional state rather than stylistic preference. She develops her visual language through self-directed study, drawing from books, gallery visits and lived experience. Personal events function as primary material, with each artwork acting as a moment-specific translation of feeling into form. Across her practice, the body often becomes a site of emotional and physical memory, shaped through fragmentation, repetition and movement. For the artist, painting operates as a therapeutic process. It transforms daily pressure into reflection and functions as a form of meditation. Through this process, individual experience is offered as a shared space, where themes of struggle, resilience and inner balance can be recognised beyond the personal narrative. “Painting is my way of transforming pressure into clarity.” – Raluca Fadur
