Rudina Simicija is a visual artist born in Scutari, Albania, whose practice unfolds between Bologna and international contexts. Working across moving image, photo-digital experimentation, and painting, she has developed a layered visual language in which the body, identity, and ritual are deeply intertwined. Her research explores the tensions between irony, nostalgia, and restlessness. The body emerges as a porous membrane that absorbs and preserves memory. Her works bring feminine and masculine energies into dialogue, presenting them as forces in constant transformation.
