**Setareh Heidarizad**
Setareh Heidarizad was born in Tehran in 1986 into a family of artists. From her earliest years, painting played a fundamental role in her life, serving as the medium through which she developed her imagination and nurtured her passion for the visual arts. This early fascination with art soon became her life’s calling, guiding her toward a distinguished career as a visual artist, painter, and art educator.
Setareh pursued her formal education in painting and fine arts at the Faculty of Art and Architecture of Tehran University, where she earned both her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degrees. She further deepened her academic expertise by completing her PhD in art at the same institution, solidifying her foundation in both theory and practice.
Since the beginning of her career, Setareh has held numerous exhibitions, both as a solo artist and in group settings, showcasing her work in prestigious galleries and cultural centers across Iran, Europe, and beyond. Her exhibitions often explore themes of identity, culture, and human emotion, reflecting her deep connection to her heritage and her commitment to artistic expression.
From 2016 to 2021, Setareh served as the Artistic Director and Internal Manager of the renowned “Elahe Art Gallery” in Tehran, where she curated and managed exhibitions, coordinated with artists, and developed programs to promote both emerging and established talents. Her leadership and vision helped elevate the gallery’s reputation as a hub for contemporary art in Iran.
In addition to her work as an artist and curator, Setareh has been a dedicated educator. From 2014 to 2022, she lectured at the Faculty of Art and Architecture of Tehran University, teaching courses in painting theory, techniques, and art history. Her mentorship has inspired countless students to develop their artistic skills and pursue their own creative paths.
In 2022, Setareh relocated to Italy, where she continues to work as an independent artist. Between November 2022 and January 2023, she held a powerful solo exhibition titled *"Women, Life, and Freedom"* at the Grosseto Province Building. This exhibition, inspired by recent events in Iran, resonated deeply with audiences, highlighting her ability to blend personal and political narratives into her art.
Setareh’s work is characterized by its emotional depth, technical mastery, and innovative use of color and form. As a member of the Iranian Painters Association, she remains an active participant in the global art community, constantly pushing the boundaries of her craft.
Today, Setareh Heidarizad lives and works in Grosseto, Italy, where she continues to create, exhibit, and inspire through her art. Her journey as an artist is a testament to the transformative power of creativity and the enduring impact of visual storytelling.
