Shu Lin (b. 2002, China) is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in London. Working across sculpture, installation, sound, image, and text, their practice explores the material traces left behind by processes of industrial transformation, political transition, and historical erasure. Through archival fragments, oral histories, and found materials, Shu Lin investigates how large-scale narratives of progress reshape everyday life, memory, and collective experience. Their works often focus on overlooked objects and marginal spaces, examining the quiet tensions between official histories and lived realities. Currently pursuing an MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London, Shu Lin has exhibited in London, Beijing, and Qingdao. Recent exhibitions include Fables at Mall Galleries, London (2025).
