Stamatios Kefalos was born in 1954 in Athens, Greece. He studied painting 1979 -1981 at the Plaka Academy, 1981-83 with George Vogiatzis, and engraving 1984 A. Tassos and V. Charos.
He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and the Academy of Thracian Art.
His works are in public and private collections in Greece and abroad, he has created posters and various covers. In 2002 he had the artistic curation of printed material of the professor of ASKT Demosthenes Kokkinidis, also in 2003 the artistic curation of the album-poster-invitation "8 PROFESSORS OF SCHOOL OF FINE ARTS" in the Art Hall of the Academy.

First prize for painting at the Parnassos Literary Association in 2000.
He has participated in many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, most recently the 17th Interbifep Portrait Biennale, Bosnia 2018.
