Water, the source of life, the water that purifies, the water that welcomes us as if in the womb and cradles us. This work imagines a very high wave, reaching the sun, enveloping and embracing us with a thousand splashes and sparkles full of magic. In an ideal, utopian world, water is a safe harbor, pure beauty. Beauty as a value, as a place of harmony and peace, as the ideal of a perfect world, crystallized within a thousand tiny lights. This work was printed, as always, on brushed aluminum. This type of print makes the image luminous and rich with pictorial reflections. Then I added the gold leaf treatment, which emphasizes lines and details where I want the light to linger. I love gold leaf, an ancient technique that in this case perfectly marries a modern one. Furthermore, the light of the gold leaf adds a spiritual aura that I seek in my artistic work.
