Italy, 1964

Giulia Baita is an Italian artist specialized in Mobile Art, a contemporary art form that exclusively uses mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads. Born in Pelago (Florence) and living in Sardinia, she has a degree in Contemporary Art History and a strong bond with art since her childhood. She discovered Mobile Art in 2009, fascinated by the expressive possibilities offered by technology. Since then, she has developed a personal style that blends elements of the Mediterranean artistic tradition with an innovative and digital aesthetic. Her works explore the relationship between man and nature, female spirituality and harmony with the natural world, central themes in her most important series, including "Golden Lady" and "Gli Animali Fantastici". Since 2015, she has exhibited in prestigious international exhibitions, including Miami, Porto, Palo Alto, Paris and Amersfoort, and has been selected for important video art festivals, such as the MoMo Festival, the International Mobile Film Festival, the Woman's Mobile Film Festival and the Los Angeles Film Festival. In addition to her artistic activity, since 2017 she has been a key figure in the promotion of Mobile Art at a global level. She founded the MAG Mobile Art Group, a platform that brings together digital artists from all over the world, and has curated numerous group exhibitions, including "The Beauty Myth" in Milan and several exhibitions in Sardinia. Since 2018, she has been invited as a judge in the most important Mobile Art awards, including the MIRA Mobile Prize (Porto), the MDAC Exhibition (Palo Alto, California) and the Mobgraphia (São Paulo, Brazil). In 2024, she won the award for the official poster of the NYC Film Festival confirming her role as an innovative and internationally recognized artist. Art critic Elena Gollini writes about her: "Giulia's artistic work is undoubtedly exhaustive, complete, clean. Her works possess the valuable gift of being particularly attractive and of possessing a great intrinsic energy. They invite the viewer to abandon themselves to poetry and beauty." Currently, Giulia Baita continues to exhibit in international galleries and festivals, to collaborate with galleries and exhibition spaces and to spread Mobile Art as a contemporary artistic language of great impact. Her works are part of several private collection.
