To describe the painting, I have written the following poem.
Will You Carry Me?
Let me wrap my legs around your waist. / Let me drape my arms across your breasts. / Let me rest my head on your shoulder. // Wrap your legs around my waist, / Drape your arms across my breasts. / I will carry you through time. // Across the minutes and hours of each day, / through the months that lead into years / until the end of our time. // Then I will unwrap your legs from around my waist. / I will drape your arms across your breast / and rest your head upon the earth. // Then alone I will cross the minutes and / hours of each day. / Through the months that lead into the / years of our beginning. // Where I will wait for your return. / To wrap my arms around your waist, / Drape my arms across your breast, / Rest my head on your shoulder / and let you carry me.
