Traces of Contemplation

For me, art is not a statement directed at the world, but an act of rescue: a process of unravelling a self that has become deeply tangled. The thoughts and anxieties within me sometimes become overwhelming, and I enter the water each day to cleanse them. *Traces of Contemplation* is an honest record of what I encountered in that solitude.
Water is both the weight of reality I must endure and a healing presence through which I am gradually renewed. I transfer this ambiguous sensation onto Hanji, transforming submerged anguish into structures of line and knot.
The ropes are not merely visual elements; they are traces of countless questions and emotions, transformed through water. The act of tying knots and connecting threads becomes my ritual of confronting anxiety and finding clarity.

Per me, l’arte non è una dichiarazione rivolta al mondo, ma un atto di salvezza: un processo per sciogliere un sé profondamente aggrovigliato. I pensieri e le ansie che porto dentro a volte diventano insopportabili, e ogni giorno entro nell’acqua per purificarli. *Traces of Contemplation* è la testimonianza sincera di ciò che ho incontrato nella solitudine.
L’acqua è sia il peso della realtà che devo affrontare, sia una presenza curativa attraverso cui mi rinnovo lentamente. Trasferisco questa sensazione ambigua sulla carta Hanji, trasformando l’angoscia sommersa in strutture di linee e nodi.
Le corde non sono semplici elementi visivi, ma tracce di domande ed emozioni trasformate attraverso l’acqua. Annodare e unire i fili diventa il mio rituale per affrontare l’ansia e raggiungere chiarezza interiore.
