Sibbitt turns a childhood memory of wonder into an allegory of contemporary life: chaotic, theatrical, absurd, and perpetually in motion. Humor and menace occupy the same ring. Like the three-ring circus of memory, everything seems to be happening at once - each figure absorbed in a private drama while participating in a larger one they may not fully understand. Yet beneath the exuberance lies unease. The title itself suggests the suddenness with which certainty can give way to disruption: something can arrive out of the clear blue sky and alter the course of everything. The familiar language of the circus - the show must go on - becomes less an expression of resilience than a strangely human response to uncertainty. Whatever happens, the performance continues.
