Concerto No. 3

Music is an integral element in my creative process; hence, many of my artworks are titled after musical pieces, characters, or composers. It's a way to pay tribute to their immense contribution to the modern world and my gratitude for their inspiration.

Concerto No. 3 references one of my favourite musical pieces: Bach's Brandenburg Concertos, specifically Concerto No. 3. As I painted, the concerto's rhythmic interplay and uplifting harmonies found their way into my brush and pastel strokes. The music’s sense of movement, ups and downs, guided my lines to be firm and heavy. Its diverse nuances also show in the colours used in the artwork.
