PATIENS: Parental Alienation
Patiens tells the fragile geography of a child’s soul, suspended between two poles of love and conflict. The figure is fragmented to reflect a torn emotional world: confusion, guilt, anxiety, and distance become body, voice, and color surface. The layering of techniques mirrors the child’s mental states — uncertain, conflicted, unable to trust their own sense of being loved — while the viewer confronts the universal difficulty of finding oneself within the folds of a broken relationship. The work does not merely invite seeing, but feeling absence as presence, doubt as a shared experience.
