A square serpentine composition that is primarily black in colour. These tightly packed whirling and swirling shapes were made through an elaborate experiment. As with almost all of my series of projects, the process is lengthy and the end result, particularly with this was not as expected but the conclusion was however, pleasing. At first glance, the work appears colourless until a closer inspection reveal the presence of subtle additional colours within and throughout the complete work. Greens, blues, reds, violet and others are present. The forms appear almost organic but not natural. This is suggested by the interplay of the blacks and whites.
