Anna Maria Lugli (AML) lives and works in Modena. Her pictorial research revolves around the theme of the emotional landscape and the relationship between sky, movement, and contemplation. A passionate ultralight aircraft pilot, she draws an important part of her artistic vision from the direct experience of flight, where aerial elements, trajectories, and horizons become narrative and expressive tools. In her works, the sky takes on a central role: an inner space, a visual memory, and a place of balance between dynamism and stillness. Through luminous and atmospheric painting, characterized by poetic tones and a strong evocative quality, she develops the Traces of Flight series, dedicated to the harmonious encounter between human presence, landscape, and the aerial dimension. Her research focuses on the visual balance between movement and environment, exploring how flight can integrate into space and transform the perception of landscape. In 2026, she began a collaboration with the aerobatic team Team 52 to create works dedicated to the events of the aerobatic season. These works are commissioned as institutional tributes intended for the municipalities hosting the events.
