Russia, 1990
Anna Salenko is a Russian‑born artist based in Hong Kong, recognized as the first palette knife artist in the city. She has spent 15 years perfecting a layered impasto style that cannot be copied.
Born by the deep blue sea at the east coat of Russia, Anna traveled across the world and first picked up a palette knife at 20. She studied in Italy, then moved to China, where her scenery paintings were published early on.
In 2018, a gallery discovered her, and her work expanded to Paris, Lyon, Amsterdam. She moved to Hong Kong in 2019. Her art has since traveled to the US, UK, and Australia, been featured in newspapers, and appeared on TV.
At a certain point, Anna chose to pause. She stepped back from the momentum to reconnect with nature and with herself. That pause didn't stop her - it clarified her.
Old goals faded, and a clearer vision emerged.
Now living surrounded by nature, Anna creates a new collection that blendslandscape with human presence. She believes that nature heals what the mind
cannot say. Her paintings are not just landscapes, they are places to pause, to breathe, to find yourself again.
That's why she paints.
