::: I allow paint to instruct where to go next, I carve out interesting forms / layers / and colors to create a semi cubist tribal 3D landscape. This landscape achieves balance, through form and color.
Content in color / form / expression / paint qualities ::: these take precedence over tightly controlled pre determined technique painting.
I choose a lack of control so that each painting reveals something entirely unique and organic produced by each layer.
I pursue color contrast and juxtaposition with layering, and I love intersecting form with vibrant color in an expressionistic 3D landscape that produces mystery and sensory texture.
I am influenced by Dali, Tapies, Miro, Picasso, Julian Schnabel, Basquiat, among others.
