Originally from Sydney, Australia, I’m a contemporary artist now based in England.
A visual artist now, but I started off as a musician, later studying for an MA and PhD in Psychology and Ethics, eventually becoming an academic in universities in Australia and in the UK. I made the switch to full time visual artist some years ago, and haven’t looked back.
My creative practice is varied. I work in a variety of media including oil and cold wax, acrylic and mixed-media.
The subject of my current work has been an exploration of the senses, capturing the sights and sounds of the environment around us, including the physical and social surrounds. Most recently I’ve been focusing on visually capturing the sensation of sounds, specifically how we ‘see’ the different patterns, rhythms, and notations in music.
