I come from a background in life science research — years spent looking closely at the natural world, trained to observe what others overlook. That discipline eventually found expression first in watercolour, and then in digital art, where I discovered an even richer way to capture the scientific complexity of plants, fungi, and insects. I work in the tradition of classical natural history illustration, where accuracy and artistic intent are one and the same.
