Switzerland, 1976

Since I was a child I've been very sensitive to beauty, harmony, nature and the feelings of all the beings. I make drawings and paintings since then and I've been continuing all my life long as a self-taught. About 25 years ago I started painting and drawing inspired by visions I had or by colours I felt and all my works were not programmed but only inspired and developing while making them. I noticed that the shapes or colours coming out during painting or sketching had an influence on myself and others and they often had some healing power. So family and friends started to ask me to make a painting for them because they felt that in some ways my paintings could help them and bring positive energy in their homes. The attraction towards art and its curative properties brought me to take a degree in Clinical Art Therapy in 2019. During the training I had the occasion to see how the creative process, the colours, the shapes and the final result had a healing and empowering influence on all my patients. I spent half of my life working with people in social issues which gave me the opportunity to have a deep vision of all the aspects of human suffering. We are living in harsh times and our world is suffering on all levels. Our Planet is poisoned and people are always more distant from their inner nature and from each other. We've forgotten that we are all connected and we should consider all the creatures and the Earth as a whole body, which now is very sick. I believe that beauty and art can bring healing to our souls and can help people to remind of their nature and of the unity to which we all belong. For my late creations I was driven to choose natural materials as paper, charcoal and natural pigment powders which give me the sense of going back to nature and simplicity. All my works start from an initial vision I have and then develop while I paint driven by inspiration. When panting, it happens that new figures come out and so the final image is very often different from the initial vision I had. What is important to me is that the final result has harmony and gives good feelings while watching it. In some of my works I can see transformation, guidance and hope. More in general, I think that my last works are all inspired by love, love meant as universal love, the love that everybody should start feeling for themselves so that after it can be possible to feel it for the rest of the beings. The kind of love that gives the courage to be true to ourselves inspite of the external pressures and attempts to make us feel separate from our nature and from the others. I hope that my works can bring some positive energy to the viewers.
