As an emerging indigenous Māori artist, my paintings explore Wairua which is a way of being, understanding, and connecting. I enter another world when painting, through intuitive expression I stand in Ao Mārama (World of Life and Light, Earth, physical world) aware of my connection with the Ira Atua (Spirit Realm) and what is Tapu (Sacred) By listening to the higher self and the guidance of my Tipuna (Ancestors) my paintings become a realised vision, making the unseen, seen. In 2021, I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design and will be pursuing my Master of Fine Arts in 2027
