Hildegunn Guroplass Solbø is a Norwegian artist holding a Master’s degree from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO). Her practice centres on sculpture and printmaking, exploring intersections between traditional techniques and contemporary processes.
Solbø’s artistic practice is grounded in material-based processes in which traces, resistance, and transformation give form to meaning. Through both analogue and digitally mediated methods, she approaches artistic making as a form of attention; situated, embodied, and relational. Working with techniques such as woodcut and laser cutting, she develops monotypies and a dialogue between handcraft and precision technologies, where control and unpredictability coexist.
