I am self-taught sculptor and artist. As a teenager I succumbed to pneumococcal meningitis and sepsis. This devastating illness and life experience was to create me, the artist and sculptor I am today. It left me with questions about my own identity, mortality and spirituality and the substance of soul. In this traumatic time I found a sense of peace and harmony in the beauty of the natural world. Through the natural world, art and sculpture I have found my faith, verse and scripture, arriving at a place where I increasingly explore spirituality and the fleeting, ephemeral nature of life.
