Born in Germany Jasmin lives now as a full-time artist in Austria. With a master’s degree in communications and graphic design, she has been painting for many years and is constantly discovering new techniques and methods. She took inspiration from various artists and art movements and it was her long stays abroad and time spent with artists in their studios in cities such as Mumbai, Delhi and Moscow that shaped her artistic expression. In her paintings, Jasmin uses pure, tightly woven linen from Belgium, as well as color-intensive oil, acrylic and watercolor paints, mixed pigments and other materials such as chalk and varnish. Her paintings are processed layer by layer over days and sometimes weeks with brushes and spatulas, which creates three-dimensional, spectacular works of art.
