“There is always a reason why we use certain techniques and languages of form in a particular time and culture. I might look at Austrian craftsmanship and it's Catholic heritage from a more distant perspective, as I have a Dutch background. My fascination with forgotten techniques and old objects is often the starting point for my artwork. By repeating, imitating and transforming I carry out a kind of personal research and give it meaning in the present.”
She studied glass design and handicraft in Tyrol. After studying Fine Arts in Munich and Düsseldorf she settled in Vienna and joined the "Werk" creative space near Schönbrunn.
She has exhibited in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Macedonia.
